ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The Job holders report to a Head of the Unit, Chief or Information Technology Officer.

At this level job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to queries with only general guidance. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen problems on a daily basis. Job holders are expected to manage resources and coach and coordinate a team of support staff.

JOB PURPOSE

To coordinate and guide Information Technology maintenance and support activities to enable the effective delivery of IT services

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Support the implementation of SCOPE in the Field, in collaboration with colleagues in the Digital and Data services sub-unit, ensuring software and hardware is configured and usable. 2. Provide ongoing support during SCOPE operations in the Field, including but not limited to identity checks, data comparisons and biometrics quality, ensuring beneficiaries are efficiently registered and managed, and also that distributions are done in time and efficiently. 3. Support internal and external partners, assess biometric data, support the implementation of the program. 4. Train users so that they are efficient and self-reliant in the use of SCOPE and other software solutions. 5. Analyse the use of SCOPE by internal and external partners to inform the management of problems, gaps and suggesting ways to improve performance and partner working relationships e.g. deduplication. 6. Identify gaps in functionality resulting from requirements from deep-field operations and suggest improvements to the methods and process to support the continuous improvement of SCOPE services.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of Secondary School, plus a post-Secondary School certificate/diploma in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant field

Experince: Minumum of Five years Information Technology and Digital Services or related field. Has experience analyzing service management results and development service enhancement recommendations. Has participated in business process re-engineering efforts and identified service management improvements. Has experience participating in country office procurement/budgeting process.

Language: Fluency (level C) in both English and Portuguese Language.
