Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship The position of IT Officer (Information Security) is assigned to the Cybersecurity and Compliance Unit (ITOD-CS) within the Information Technology Department (ITD). ITD manages the information systems and technology services required for ADB's Headquarters and Field Offices. ITOD-CS sets the Information Security standards, policies, incident management, and Business Continuity approaches for Technology within ADB. The team also monitors compliance with the standards and policies within ITD.
You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. You will report to Designated Technical International Staff and Senior Officer, as applicable.
Your Role As IT Officer (Information Security), you will actively drive strategic planning and decisions in ADB's IT data protection efforts. You will operate data protection measures and help define the direction for IT protection aligned with ADB's overall risk and threat profile. You will ensure continuous monitoring and alignment with ADB's risk appetite and tolerance for disruption and establish clear IT data protection goals and objectives to support ADB's information protection program.
You will also establish and operate ADB's data protection framework. In this context, you will lead the daily planning and assessment of data protection requirements to ensure operational effectiveness of technology components supporting ADB's information protection program. As part of the monitoring and review of the program's performance, you will regularly assess its effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with evolving risks.

Benefits ADB offers a rewarding salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary will be based on ADB's standards and comparator markets, taking into account your qualifications and experience.
Additional Information This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff’s performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
