Set up and maintain workstations and networks efficiently

You have:

  • Must be in pursuit of a degree in computer science, information technology or engineering.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be customer service-oriented.
  • Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
  • Must take direction well and be motivated self-starters.
  • Must be open and excited to learn new technologies.

Job Description

- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers and printers. - Check computer hardware components (HDD, mouse, keyboard, etc.) to ensure functionality. - Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. - Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance. - Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems. - Provide orientation and guidance to users on operating new software and computer equipment. - Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without disrupting workflow. - Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems, including repairing or replacing parts and debugging. - Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders. - Assist in maintaining computer systems by installing, configuring, and updating software and hardware components. - Provide basic training and support to users on effectively using IT systems, software applications, and tools. - Perform additional IT-related tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

IT interns must be in pursuit of a degree in computer science, information technology or engineering, IT interns must take direction well and be motivated self-starters. must be open and excited to learn new technologies. must have strong communication skills, both written and oral. should be customer service-oriented and learn techniques to best serve clients.
