Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia the incumbent will undertake following duties:
- development of a comprehensive pilot testing strategy, defining the scope, objectives, and methodologies for the upcoming pilot-testing phase. Collaborating with key stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with project goals.
- selection of a representative group of users or stakeholders who will actively participate in the pilot test. Communicating with the chosen participants, providing clear expectations and outlining their roles during the testing phase;
- Deploying the software system in a controlled environment dedicated to the pilot testing phase. Ensuring that the deployment aligns with specified requirements, and verifying that the necessary infrastructure and resources are in place to support the pilot test;
- Implementing robust monitoring systems to collect real-time feedback from users during the pilot test. Utilizing various channels, such as surveys, interviews, and user analytics, to capture user experiences and identify any issues or areas of improvement;
- analysis of pilot test results, focusing on the data collected during the initial phase of the pilot test. Identifying immediate issues or concerns raised by users and prioritize them based on severity and impact;
- making adjustments and iterations to address issues identified in the initial phase of the pilot test. Prioritizing changes based on user feedback and collaborate with the development team to implement necessary improvements;
- establishing continuous monitoring mechanisms to collect ongoing feedback from users throughout the extended pilot testing period. Implement real-time adjustments as needed and maintain open communication channels with users to address emerging issues promptly;
- ensuring that users are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively use and navigate the software system.
- Integrating the insights gained from the pilot testing phase into the overall development process. Collaborating with the development team to implement any necessary adjustments, improvements, or new features based on the feedback and results obtained during the pilot tests.
Qualifications/special skills
University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related area Master degree or Bachelor degree with 2 years of qualifying experience is an advantage Experience in the area of quality assurance of complex ICT systems is required, Familiarity with QA tools and programming languages (Java). Familiarity with customs automation, single window or similar systems is an advantage Experience of working in international ICT projects is an advantage, experience of working in transition economies is an advantage
Languages
Fluency of English is required, Knowledge of Russian is an advantage
