How can you make a difference?

To ensure that effective and efficient solutions are provided to all incidents and queries on IT infrastructure and services.

The positions are required to work in 24x7 shifts.

Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:

Provide Access Management support

  • Provide global user support on systems account administration (create, maintain, delete and troubleshoot) for the following ICT applications systems while adhering to established procedures, processes, and practices:
  • AD, Office 365/Outlook, Lotus Notes, and Intranet/WebMail
  • Vision ERP, IRC, SAP/FLS, SAP e-recruitment
  • Remote access
  • Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in line with best practices (i.e. ITIL) with specific focus on incident and problem management.

    Provide ICT applications support

  • Maintain user accounts and Segregation of duties (SOD) compliance through provisioning, de-provisioning and roles assignments in Vision ERP and IRC.

  • Ensure enforcement of applicable SAP system security configuration parameters.
  • Provide technical support, customization, content management, and permissions management for SharePoint teamsites.
  • Prepare various reports including statistical reports on systems access, escalation/exceptions reports, audit reports, and critical transaction reports in Vision ERP and Approva.

Provide first-line technical or business support

  • Act as single point-of-contact Single point of contact (SPoC) for ICT issues.
  • Ensure service requests and tasks are recorded and appropriately dispatched to the responsible work group(s).
  • Ensures Help Desk processes and procedures, with particular emphasis on technical issues/administration processes and procedures categorized per system, are well documented and updated.
  • Act as Officer in Charge for the Help Desk Officer and manage the SPoC.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

  • Completion of Secondary education (high school degree) supplemented with training at university level in: Business Administration or Computer Science (A+ or equivalent experience), Telecommunications or equivalent qualification. Training in appropriate disciplines, including course work in networking and telecommunication technologies. Computer-related certifications an asset.
  • An ITIL qualification in IT Service management will be an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in information technology or equivalent qualifications requiring systematic methods of troubleshooting and analytical problem solving.
  • Experience in providing assistance to users on IT products and services, and use of applications and diagnostic tools and experience in providing technical and business Customer Support and Services.
  • Practical experience and working knowledge of various computer platforms and applications.
  • Work experience with a development organization or the United Nations is an asset.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and spoken) required
  • Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish), or local language of the duty station, is considered an asset
