Overview

Provide IT support to all DRC employees in Kyiv.

You have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • English proficiency – Pre-intermediate
  • Understanding of and experience in supporting personal computers, servers, and printing hardware
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, routers, Fortigate/Pfsense firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies
  • Experience with M365 or other office software suites
  • Understanding of Windows-based systems, with experience in supporting and configuring Windows OS
  • Experience working in an NGO will be an advantage

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.

DRC is currently looking for a IT Assistant in Kyiv.

About the job

Under the technical supervision of the IT Specialist, the IT assistant will provide IT support to all DRC employees. As a key member of the IT department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and network, allowing our staff to focus on their core work of improving lives and making a positive impact.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Receive and process user requests via phone and the Service Desk system.
  • Provide technical support to staff in the head office and regional offices.
  • Perform initial diagnostics and resolve issues with computer hardware and software.
  • Carry out system maintenance, including updates, antivirus checks, and data backups.
  • Conduct training and information sessions for employees on technical topics.
  • Travel to regional offices when required.
  • Develop user manuals, guides, and instructions.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration. Moreover, we also expect the following:

We offer

  • Contract length: 3-month probation period with the possibility of extension until 28th February 2026, depending on performance.
  • Band: I non-management.
  • Designation of Duty Station: Kyiv.
  • Start date: 1st December, 2025.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national contracts.
