Job Description

- Identify and support the adaptation, development and/or refinement of existing teacher training packages to be used for the AQBE Basic Package; - Coordinating with key sector actors to landscape and identify content available for use for the AQBE Basic Package; - Support quality control of refinement processes for teacher training packages, including Basic Package and ACR teacher training package, ensuring teachers’ feedback is utilized for improvement of content; - Promoting the use of multimedia as effective teaching and learning tools in teacher training packages; - Collaborate with IRC’s technical leads and technical advisors, including headquarters, to ensure user-feedback from teachers, students and stakeholders is driving the adaptation of materials for teachers, school administrators and staff; - Ensure engagement and lead content review processes with AQBE’s Technical Working Group (TWG) in a collaborative fashion for IR1 deliverables; - Ensure quality and consistency of technical trainings being delivered under IR1 at Kabul master training level, in coordination with IRC’s technical leads - Provide direct capacity support to national implementing partners on IR1 deliverables, as required and requested by the PMU Technical Director and IRC Technical Lead

Qualifications

- 5 to 7 years of technical development focused on teacher professional development (resources, materials, training) in the education sector in Afghanistan - Experience with capacity building support for national partners in program management - Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree is preferable, in education - Experience with community-based education and education formal system support - Excellent communication and coordination skills - Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari and English. - Wiling to travel and conduct field visits regularly.
