Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Investment Officer is assigned to the Private Sector Financial Institutions Division (PSFI) and the Microfinance Program (MFP) within the Private Sector Operations Department. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

MFP works with nearly 30 MFIs in markets like Bangladesh, Cambodia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Pakistan, and is working actively to expand its geographic coverage in ADB’s member countries. The Program continues to grow in absolute volume and is broadening its product offering and end-segment coverage, alongside expanding coverage to new markets.

You will report to the designated International Staff and senior National Staff.

Your Role

As an Investment Officer, you will support the MFP, specifically work relating to on-boarding of new entities and for credit monitoring and portfolio management of microfinance institutions (MFI)/NBFI) and partner financial institutions (PFIs) covered under the Program. The Investment Officer will handle independent responsibilities and work closely with ADB’s clients, internal and external stakeholders and the MFP team. The responsibilities are across analytical, business development and other transaction support activities and implementation of MFP’s Technical Assistance projects, related to the partner MFIs/NBFIs and partner financial institutions covered under the Program and key Program activities.
