Result of Service Establishment of mechanisms for monitoring consumption of goods, replenishment cycles and source analysis. This would enable Inventory Management and Replenishment Cell to effectively perform its responsibilities of analyzing the inventories in stock, maintaining the reorder level, reorder quantity and buffer level so as to never run out of stock of the fast-moving items and establish effective mechanism to identify and utilize the idle inventories to ensure efficacy of new procurement and minimization of waste.

Duties and Responsibilities This position is located in the Centralized Warehousing of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA), duty station Abyei. The incumbent will report directly to the Chief, Centralized Warehousing Unit.

Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Centralized Warehousing Unit, the Stock Replenishment Management Consultant is responsible for the following duties:

1. Establish mechanism for regular monitoring of consumption of goods by generating BI reports from Umoja and identifying goods and quantities to be ordered for replenishment. 2. Study and analyze past consumption patterns and lead times to define reorder levels for over 7,000 line items of goods handled by Central Warehouse. This would involve establishment of reorder level, minimum bin level, minimum reorder quantity and maximum bin levels. 3. Coordinate with office of CSCM, PMU and CWU to establish mechanism to monitor stock levels of fast-moving items and triggering replenishment when stocks are depleted. 4. Implement source analysis procedures to identify the most optimal source for ordering of replenishment supplies. This would involve analyzing various sources as system contracts, local contracts, long term agreements, blanket purchase orders, low value acquisitions, inventories in SDS or other missions and petty cash. 5. Monitor the stock levels for responsible commodities and initiate replenishment of the goods by purchase from system contracts existing system contracts, local contracts, long term agreements, blanket purchase orders, low value acquisitions, inventories in SDS or other missions and petty cash. 6. Address the risks of overstocking, ageing stock, suboptimal storage conditions, deterioration, and obsolescence. 7. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in logistics, business administration, public administration, engineering, or other related field. A first-level degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in the specified fields of studies with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain, property / inventory management, logistics, acquisition, procurement, administration, or related area is required. Out of seven (7) years of experience, at least three years (3) of experience at the international level is required. Experience of inventory control processes and Power BI are desirable. Experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) (Umoja Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Enterprise Central Component (ECC), BI, and SCPT) is desirable. Technical or vocational certificate in at least one of the following areas is required: warehouse and acquisition, supply chain management, business administration, procurement and operations management or related areas is desirable. Training and/or certificates in Umoja/ERP, IPSAS is desirable. Certificate in Business Intelligence (BI) is desirable. Certificates in Public Procurement - Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is desirable.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable.
