Provide live interpretation and translation services for two virtual events on Zoom.

You have:

  • Professional proficiency in at least one official language and strong skills in at least two others with proven ability to interpret or translate accurately and fluently.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing interpretation or translation services for international conferences, governmental or intergovernmental organizations.
  • Familiarity with UN terminology and procedures, particularly in areas relevant to the event's thematic focus (e.g., human rights, climate change, sustainable development).
  • Strong intercultural communication skills and sensitivity to diverse cultural, political, and regional contexts.
  • Accreditation or certification from a recognized interpretation/translation institution is highly desirable.

The assignment is provide live interpretation and translation services for two virtual events on Zoom : Satellite session 1: Wednesday, 16 July 2025 | 8:00-9:00 AM New York Time | Virtual Satellite session 2: Thursday, 17 July 2025 | 10:00-11:00 AM New York Time | Virtual

The UN Youth Office will hold two 60-minute virtual satellite sessions. They will feature stories of change from Government representatives, Resident Coordinators, and UN Youth Advisory Board members across regions, illustrating how the UN in countries is supporting the advancement of the work with and for youth. The audience will include the UN and its key partners across countries and regions, including government representatives and youth networks.

  • Professional proficiency in at least one official language (their main language) and possess strong skills in at least two others with proven ability to interpret or translate accurately and fluently.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing interpretation or translation services for international conferences, governmental or intergovernmental organizations.

  • Familiarity with UN terminology and procedures, particularly in areas relevant to the event's thematic focus (e.g., human rights, climate change, sustainable development).
