UNICEF Lao PDR Country Office is looking for an intern to assist in implementation of the Health programme activities and to be based in Vientiane capital office.

Under the supervision of the Maternal and Child Health Specialist, the intern will undertake the following tasks:

  • Prepare/ revise relevant maternal and child health disaggregated data for the targeted provinces and districts, with the use and expansion of innovation.
  • Assist in the data collection, analysis and revision of indicators, databases, and tools for monitoring programme progress.
  • Assist with report writing and taking minutes for the health programme as required.
  • Under supervisor’s guidance, assist in weekly tasks that contribute to the outputs for maternal and child health.

Results/Expected Outputs:

  • Data interpretation, reporting and presentation on the related M&E, including the use of the routine health information systems.
  • Contribute to documentation of activities, and submit for publications, social media/websites, newsletters.
  • Reports and minutes of meetings and programme events.

Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or be a recent graduate.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French or Spanish and fluent in the working language of the office they are applying to.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
