How can you make a difference?

The objective of this internship is to support the implementation of UNICEF Youth and Adolescent Development Programmes in rolling out research activities related to volunteering, and civic engagement. The intern is expected to contribute

to preparing briefs and papers on the situation of volunteering programme through data collection, analysis, and writing. This is to support the overall goal of engaging with decision-makers to better reflect youth and volunteers related policy commitment, and to support overall measurement of volunteering. Specific tasks are highlighted below:

-Contribute to preparing briefs about Volunteering and civic engagement programmes - Efficient handling of information and resources within the team

  • Develop/update specific advocacy messages on key UNICEF Jordan volunteering and youth engagement issues.

  • Coordinate with the section to disseminate research findings and KM products.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education: Be enrolled in an undergraduate, Master’s degree or PHD preferably in Knowledge Management, Business, Social Science, youth studies or relevant fields
  • Experience: Background and Knowledge of Adolescent Development and Participation. Research and writing skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

This position has been assessed as an not elevated risk role for Child Safeguarding purposes as it is neither: a role with direct contact with children, works directly with child, is a safeguarding response role or has been assessed as an elevated risk role for child safeguarding. Additional vetting and assessment for elevated risk roles in child safeguarding (potentially including additional criminal background checks) applies.
