How can you make a difference?

The intern is expected to contribute to the national End Violence Programme planning, implementation, monitoring evaluation and administration of program/project activities related to UNICEF’s support in camps. Overall, the candidate is expected to contribute to reviewing research and monitoring the programme and systematically document progress and achievements and provide support to implementing partners. Supervision and guidance will be provided on a day-to-day basis, and regular meetings will be organized to provide guidance and advice, if necessary. The intern will be exposed to learning and personal development opportunities within UNICEF and with the partners including humanitarian response. Specific tasks are highlighted below:

  • Contribute to assessments and generate knowledge/evidence, inductions & logistics.

  • Support the IMO in data analysis & data visualization exercises.

  • Contribute to producing relevant fact sheets, briefing notes, and reports, in addition to needed research.

  • Support the implementation of the End Violence in camps

  • Conduct regular visits to the camps and other project locations to understand partners’ challenges and work with the CP team to address them.

  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • ****Education:**** Be enrolled in an advanced/undergraduate university degree (bachelor/Master’s or higher) in /a relevant background in Human rights, Social Sciences, Political Science or any related field, or graduated within 2 years. -

    • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience: Strong research and writing skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Additional vetting and assessment for elevated risk roles in child safeguarding (potentially including additional criminal background checks) applies.
