Tentative start date: As soon as possible. The internship is on a full-time basis, preferably.

Preferred duration: 3-6 months, ideally starting in November 2021 or shortly thereafter.

Location: UNICEF Supply Division, Copenhagen

The internship is centred on the maintenance and creation of content for the UNICEF Supply Division Communication Unit. The unit communicates time-sensitive and accurate information to diverse audiences, including donors and partners, and requires regular production of engaging multimedia content.

How can you make a difference?

In agreement with the supervisor(s), the intern will provide assistance in:

• Creating graphics following the UNICEF’s brand guidelines for use on social media channels and in presentations
• Shooting and editing quality multimedia (both photo and video) products
• Sourcing photos and videos from the UNICEF multimedia database and, WeShare, as well as adapting them for social media and web content

• Using creativity to produce engaging digital content for social media channels and the UNICEF Supply Division website
• Learning about the organization’s role in supply and logistics and humanitarian supply chains for children around the world
• Managing ambiguity and competing priorities

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

• Enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or are a recent graduate (have concluded an undergraduate or graduate programme within the past two years) in the area(s) of multimedia/Graphic Design.
• Have a strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records or, if not available, a reference letter from an academic supervisor.

Your skills:

• Fluent in English (required). Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
• Strong grasp of graphics and multimedia tools
• Proficiency in video and photo shooting and editing, using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Proficiency in using DSLR cameras, related equipment and accessories

Additional information:

Internship Stipend: Interns are paid in accordance with the UNICEF policy on the Internship Programme.

Age: Interns must be at least 18 years

Family relations: Interns must have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office.

Visa: UNICEF is not responsible for obtaining any visas for internships. However, UNICEF can provide a Note Verbale to respective Consulates, to support the application of Visas. Also, in the scenario that the intern is already in the country of the duty station and have been granted a different work permit modality, any extension cannot be dependent on an internship with UNICEF.

Insurance: The selected candidate must provide proof of health/accident insurance plan that covers them in the country of the assignment and for the entire duration of the assignment.

Interns are covered for any service-incurred injury/illness.

Employment: There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship.

Onboarding: The intern will be required to provide confirmation of strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records or, if not available, a reference letter from an academic supervisor, a copy of health insurance coverage and to fill out the relevant UNICEF forms on conditions before taking up service as an intern.
