How can you make a difference?

Purpose of the Assignment Under the supervision of the UNICEF LAC Regional Chief of ICT, the intern will mainly provide support in the daily tasks of customer service using the helpdesk platform, support for the building infrastructure, if necessary. Preparation of equipment for incoming users and any other specific work related to ICT that the Regional Chief requires.

Main Activities * End user support – hardware or software related issues based on use or problems. * Provisioning of computer equipment with corporative images and default applications. * Support for on-premises and virtual meetings organized by UNICEF, in the Regional Office or other venues within the duty station. * Support UNICEF staff with troubleshooting with printers, network connections, Windows applications and/or Office 365 suite. * Any other ICT related application that is required (related with hardware, software and applications).

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

* Be enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate, graduate school, or have graduated within the past two years in IT related field. * Applicants must be at least 18 years old. * Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records. * Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.​​​​​​​ * Additional consideration will be given for any past experience on IT, software development, telecommunications, and any area related to Information Technology. * Previous knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, Office 365 applications, video conferencing tools, Teams, Zoom, etc. * familiarity with cloud environments is considered an asset. * Fluency in Spanish is required. Knowledge of English will be an asset.

Desired technical skills * Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, Office 365 applications, video conferencing tools, Teams, Zoom, etc. Basic knowledge of computer networks, and the use of cloud environments.
