The Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Donor Relations Specialist, the intern will support the donor relations and reporting functions with the aim of deepening and developing UNICEF Libya's collaboration with key donors and financial stakeholders.

The Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Support the Reports Officer in ensuring the timely submission of high-quality donor reports and updates. The intern will contribute to updating reporting schedules, preparing reporting templates, drafting contextual information, proofreading and formatting of reports, and other related tasks.
  2. Support donor relations and fundraising through contributing to project proposals, donor briefing notes and information sheets, background information materials for visits of donors, donor amendment work processes, and other related tasks.
  3. Ensure that the Country Office’s system for filing reports and proposals remains up to date.
  4. Any other tasks requested by the Donor Relations Specialist and/or the Representative’s office to support reporting and donor relations.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years in Social Sciences; Development, Planning, Communication, or a related technical field.
  • Prior experience in the area of reporting and communication is considered as an asset.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Be proficient in English and Arabic languages.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to
