The PFP Fundraising and Marketing Services (FMS) team in the Individual Giving unit provides UNICEF National Committees and fundraising country offices with guidance and fundraising content packages for their fundraising campaigns.

The FMS team provides support to all the fundraising markets by developing, curating, repurposing content as well as in building capacities to use this content.

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the FMS Manager and in close collaboration with various PFP units, the intern will:

  • Regularly upload and curate content on We-share in an effective manner

  • Assist in the gathering and organizing of information around new and existing content for key counterparts in-house.

  • Address queries and request for We-share searches from National Committees and Country Offices.

  • Support the development of global content packages by looking for the right kind of raw footage and images.

  • Regularly search different UNICEF websites, social media platforms and blogs for great stories that can be share with the content community

  • Support the Content Team in organizing the historical information on DRTV content and develop a consolidated analysis of spots form the comparators in the last 2 years.

  • Update the content calendar on a regular basis

  • Provide any other technical and operational assistance as appropriate and required by the team.

Modality: Full-time, Paid.

Tentative start date: October 2021

Duration: 26 weeks

Location: Office based in Geneva, Switzerland or Homebased (teleworking within Europe time zone is preferable to follow the office core hours)

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
  • A relevant background in business or technology based capacity or relevant field is preferred
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and
  • Have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
  • Possess strong communications skills and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a set time frame
  • Good level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mailchimp. Analytics software a plus.
