UNICEF in Vientiane, Lao PDR is looking for an International Individual Consultancy: Private Sector Partnerships Consultant, UNICEF Vientiane, Lao PDR (Remote/Home-Based). The duration of this assignment is 03 months, where possible starting from third week of January 2023 until end of April 2023. and the consultant will be (Remote/Home-Based).

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

The core activities of the consultant shall include the following:

  • Seek and promote new partnerships and resource mobilization opportunities, working with UNICEF colleagues to identify partnership and resource mobilization needs and broker resource mobilization agreements to meet those needs.
  • Provide strategic, logistical and programmatic support to senior management and UNICEF staff in corporate engagement and interaction with partners.
  • Contribute to the development of new partnership and resource mobilization practices and approaches building on UNICEF’s Child Rights and Business Principles Framework.
  • Contribute to strategies for engagement and the development of communication and advocacy products to enhance UNICEF’s visibility and influence with private sector and chambers of commerce building on the CRBP framework.

Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge/Experience Required:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Master's Degree in technical fields related to partnerships with strong development experience Knowledge and Skills
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience at the national and international level in development.
  • Proven experience in programme management, donor management and partnership development.
  • Experience in structured capacity development, both internal and external is required.
  • Previous experience working in the UN is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

  • Financial proposal: All-inclusive lump-sum cost including accommodation cost for this assignment as per work assignment with a breakdown by fee, living allowance, medical insurance and travel costs.

Assessment Criteria:

For evaluation and selection method, the Cumulative Analysis Method (weight combined score method)

shall be used for this recruitment:

a) Technical evaluation of the candidates’ qualifications, experience and expertise (max. 100 points) weight 70%:

Qualifications (20 points)

  • A Master's Degree in Environment, International Development, Climate, Social Sciences, Programme Management or related technical field with strong development experience. Experience and expertise (80 points)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience at the national and international level in development (20 points).
  • Proven experience in programme management, donor management and partnership. development (20 points).
  • Proven experience in advocacy and policy and strategy development (15 points).
  • Experience in structured capacity development, both internal and external (10 points).
  • Previous experience working in the UN system is an advantage (5 points).
  • Fluency in English is required; excellent written and verbal communications skills in English (10 points).

b) Financial Proposal (max. 100 points) weight 30 %

The maximum number of points shall be allotted to the lowest Financial Proposal that is opened

/evaluated and compared among those technical qualified candidates who have attained a minimum 70

points score in the technical evaluation. Other Financial Proposals will receive points in inverse proportion

to the lowest price.

The applicants should provide medical insurance covering medical evacuation for the whole duration of

the assignment -as part of the financial proposal submission.

The Contract shall be awarded to candidate obtaining the highest combined technical and financial scores,

subject to the satisfactory result of the verification interview.
