For every child,

The country office's budget in 2021 sums to more than 100 million USD resulting in a large number of donors’ reports, fundraising proposals and knowledge documents requiring drafting and editing work. Given that there is no dedicated function for reporting, the country office is seeking external support for that function.

How can you make a difference?

  • Donor Proposals and Report: consolidate inputs from sections especially for large cross-sectoral donor proposals and reports and review/suggest strategic inputs for donors’ proposals, reports and other programming documents to ensure coherence and high quality of donor proposals/reports in line with UNICEF programming and donor requirements. The insight schedule for reporting will be shared with the consultant. On average 3 days are allocated for the finalization of one donor report, up to two new donor proposals may require coordination during the assignment period.
  • Knowledge management: to design and develop in close collaboration with communication specialist, heads of programme sections and deputy representative knowledge products, such as “light monthly sitrep”, field offices fact sheets/briefing notes and programme fact sheets for information sharing and advocacy. The template will be shared with the consultant and 2 days are allocated for the finalization of one knowledge product.

Deliverable: 8 individual donor reports. Deadline: 31 December 2021 (24 w/days)

Deliverable: 2 donor proposals. Deadline: 31 December 2021 (6 w/days)

Deliverable: 3 knowledge management products. Deadline: 31 December 2021 (9 w/days)

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: Master's degree in Development Studies, Communications, International Relations or other relevant social science. A combination of a first-level university degree and relevant work experience (min 7 years) may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Professional experience: Five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in international relations, donor coordination, development program management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and communications. International and national work experience. Background/familiarity with Emergency situations.

Language: English - Advanced [C1]

Skills and competencies: Advanced Writing and Communication skills. Good analytical skills.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
