Who are we?

The position is a part of the Policy, Process and Tools Team, which consists of 5 colleagues, under the Finance, Risk and Supply Chain (FRISC) department and will report to the Head of Finance Policy, Processes and Tools. The vision of the department is to support the operations in delivering on DRC’s mandate, while ensuring that the funds provided to DRC are being utilised to the maximum benefit of refugees and internally displaced people.

About the job

DRC introduced a new global ERP system in 2019, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (internally called DRC Dynamics). The ERP system launch led to constant effort for further implementation, support, and optimisation; and prompted the need for review and further development of finance policies and processes. The purpose of the position is to have a focal point that encompasses a strong knowledge of both finance business processes and of Microsoft Dynamics, and therefore can properly represent Finance department in the relevant strategic initiatives on the matter. ERP Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role into DRC Dynamics further implementation and development, for Finance policies and processes enrichment, for capacity building and for ad-hoc investigations. Please see below the key responsibilities

  • Support growth and development of DRC Dynamics system
    • Generate improvement ideas based on the knowledge gathered and seek new opportunities
    • Liaise with key stakeholders (Business Process Owners and Experts, Solution Architect, Competency Center) to provide business input that enables qualification and prioritization of the change requests / bug fixes
    • Support relevant system tests, both in design and execution
    • Communicate to business the latest updates on DRC Dynamics finance related functionality in a non-technical and user-oriented language
  • Support growth and development of Finance policies and processes
    • Work closely with Financial Process and Policy Advisors to ensure having up to date and accurate policies and process descriptions
    • Act as a Business Process Expert (BPE) on some of the modules and substitute the missing BPEs from FRISC department if needed
  • Act as team lead in DRC Dynamics further implementation and development initiatives – coordinate project team / working group, lead and input to analysis, design and testing phases, deliver trainings and ensure support materials
  • Drive capacity building initiatives
    • Develop and maintain e-learning courses
    • Identify training needs
    • Facilitate capacity building exercises for both HQ and Field colleagues – collect needs, prepare agenda, develop materials, deliver training
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on ad-hoc missions generated by audits, code of conduct or other bodies to understand status-quo and underlying issues, either in the system usage or process implementation
  • Provide ad-hoc support to FRISC dpt. team members to cases that can’t be fixed by Competency Center as they encompass both system and process angles

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have strong financial knowledge and the capacity to understand how Microsoft Dynamics is working to support the financial processes. We are looking for a candidate that can besides fixing the arisen issues, prevent the most common ones through the tools at hand – system change, capacity building, policy / processes development. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and act as a partner with the counterparts. All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Academic studies in Finance or Accounting
  • Solid experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably from an NGO (3-5 years)
  • Experience with support in Microsoft Dynamics (1 year)
  • Customer-oriented mindset and strong sense for offering support
  • A keen willingness to collaborate with colleagues across departments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex issues in a simple manner
  • Capacity to work independently and take initiative
  • Training delivery skills

Desirable

  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes
  • Arabic, French or Spanish language skills

    We offer

Contract length: permanent contract, full time 37h per week

Workplace: DRC HQ, Borgergade 10, Copenhagen, Denmark

Start date: as soon as possible.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC (agreement for academics). This is a national position in Denmark for which local terms and conditions apply.
