How can you make a difference?

Under supervision of the Communication Specialist develop a partnership and fundraising strategy and related concept notes to help build on existing partnerships and mobilize resources required to support the implementation of the CPD 2021-2025.

WORK ASSIGNMENT

1.1. Desk review of existing strategies and documents including Concept Notes, CPD, Programme Strategy Notes, and other relevant documentation.

1.2. Mapping of donor and development partners (including UNICEF National Committee); donor trends; new funding initiatives on thematic areas or through other multi-lateral arrangements; opportunities for partnerships with the private sector.

2. Development of the Partnerships and Development Strategy

3. Development of Concept Notes

Note: each concept note is expected to be no longer than 4 pages.

DELIVERABLES

1. Desk review findings comprehensively documented and included in the strategy (findings included in the strategy and as annexures as relevant) - 5 days

2.1. Discussions with UNICEF, GoTL and partners

2.2. Submission of the final strategy and draft workplan, incorporating comments from UNICEF (10 days)

3.1. A total of six draft Concept Notes developed and shared with UNICEF

3.2. Submit final concept notes incorporating comments and suggestions from UNICEF (20 days)

DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT: 35 working days to be started as soon as possible

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Knowledge of current theories and practice in strategic partnerships
  • Experience in resource mobilization/donor relations and partnership management
  • Experience in the development of concept notes and other fundraising material
  • Knowledge of UNICEF, UN System, and global development aid and philanthropy landscape
  • University degree in Business Administration, Communication, or relevant other fields
  • Advanced skills in content development
  • Excellent coordination skills
  • Advanced knowledge of English, including writing and editing skills

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
