Overview

Provide technical support for Children on the Move project implementation

You have:

• An advanced university degree (Master’s) in International Development, Human Rights, Psychology, Sociology, International law or other social science field is required.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection and experience related to children on the move programme.
• Strong knowledge of Children on the Move in the context of Afghanistan, knowledge on grant management, strong writing, presentation, and data management skills.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.

How can you make a difference?

Under the direct supervision of Child Protection Specialist, Emergency, Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE), the consultant will provide professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the period of the consultancy to the CPiE, particularly Children on Move teams based in the field and Kabul.

• Develop a micro plan with the 5 zonal offices for the implementation of Children on the Move Phase 2.
• Data collection for the drafting of the EU annual report.
• Support the drafting, review, and finalization of the EU annual report.
• Support the field mission of Innocent and the data collection activities.
• Support the drafting of two donor proposals and two donor reports.
• Support preparation and implementation of the quarterly EU meeting & facilitate follow up on the meeting.
• Engage the 5 zonal regions for the review of quarterly report for 6 implementing partners.
• Review and drafting of CPiE internal documents and reports for donor engagement and external audience (Fact sheets for different aspects of CP programme).
• Draft document for the preparation of quarterly review meeting with the EU for the EU Phase 2 project.
• Support the drafting and finalization of two donor reports.
• Engage the 5 zonal regions for the review of quarterly report for 6 implementing partners.
• Review the Children on the Move report upon its submission.
• Review of Micro plan for the EU project developed with 5 zonal offices.
• Support the preparation for an interagency EU Project meeting with UNHCR and IOM.
• Support the drafting of two donor reports.
• Continue follow up on the action points from two activities: Interagency report & IP’s review.
• Review and draft CPiE internal documents and reports for donor engagement and external audience (Fact sheets for different aspects of CP programme).
• Data collection for Final EU Phase I report.
• Support the drafting of the final EU Phase I report.
• Final Consultancy report.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
