Contract

This is a P-5 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 10 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 172,290 USD and 215,919 USD.

Background

The Republic of Angola will carry out the General Population and Housing Census in 2024 at the level of the entire national territory, under the coordination of the Multisectoral Commission to Support the Implementation of the 2024 Census, created under Presidential Order No. 290/22, of 30 December 2022.

The Population and Housing Census is the most complex, extensive, complicated and expensive statistical operation that a country can carry out and allows all individuals to be in contact with the National Statistical System of a Country, as it involves the entire population and is therefore an important moment in the life of a country, which is to obtain a more reliable picture regarding the characteristics of its population and its housing

In order to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of all activities related to communication, social mobilization and publicity of the entire statistical operation, it will be necessary to hire an International Consultant who will support the Mobilization and Publicity Coordination team in conducting its activities.

The purpose of the consultancy is to assist the INE in (i) conducting an assessment of the course of activities related to mobilization and publicity of the Pilot Census 2023, with the aim of fine-tuning any shortcomings and making actionable recommendations for possible improvements to be implemented for the Main Census in 2024.
