Purpose of Activity/Assignment: • To provide technical support to ensure the successful implementation of the communication and social mobilization aspects for polio mOPV2 vaccination campaigns in South Sudan; especially the mOPV2 rounds and the social mobilization thereafter. • To synergies and support with the ongoing response to other emergencies such as COVID-19 and floods • To provide oversight to C4D strategies for mOPV2 so that they are developed/revised/updated and available with clear budget lines. • To provide SOPs, and guidelines to ensure that C4D social mobilization and community engagement conducted successfully in coordination with UNICEF focal points /teams, MOH, WHO, HPD, GPEI and other partners. • Manage and support state level partners & C4D officer in the implementation of Integrated Community Mobilization Network programs; • Provide technical support to UNICEF C4D officer and implementing partners, including in the development and/or sharing of relevant standards, protocols, guidelines, and training materials. • Plan, budget and monitor monthly activities of ICM network along with conducting supportive supervision to county and payam level to ensure quality program implementation. • Ensure monthly reporting of ICMN activities in coordination with the state C4D officer. • Develop strong partnerships with community groups, leaders and other partners in the community and civil society to promote UNICEF efforts aimed at social and behavioral changes. • In close consultation with CO team, organize/implement capacity building initiatives to enhance the competencies of state/county/payam and community mobilizers. • In close consultation with M&E team, contribute to the office M&E mechanism, including reporting against set targets/results.

Scope of Work: • Manage and support state level partners & C4D officer in the implementation of Polio and routine Immunization activities in the field • Provide technical support to UNICEF C4D officer and implementing partners, including in the development and/or sharing of relevant standards, protocols, guidelines, and training materials for Polio campaigns and Routine Immunization in the country • Plan, budget and monitor monthly activities of polio and EPI activities along with conducting supportive supervision to county and payam level to ensure quality program implementation. • Ensure monthly/Quarterly reporting of polio campaign and EPI activities in coordination with the state C4D officers. • Develop strong partnerships with community groups, leaders and other partners in the community and civil society to promote UNICEF efforts aimed at social and behavioral changes. • In close consultation with CO team, organize/implement capacity building initiatives to enhance the competencies of state/county/payam and community mobilizers on Immunization services. • In close consultation with M&E team, contribute to the office M&E mechanism, including reporting against set targets/results for Immunization. • Analyse the respective County/Payam monthly ICMN report on regular the basis and share with sections and other forums such as technical working groups meeting, GAVI quarterly review meetings, state level EPI review meeting etc. • Oversee the RCCE data management for polio and EPI in the country office • Provide technical support to state teams in data management and provide overall guidance on use of data for planning of risk communication activities for immunization at state level • Identify data related bottle necks and provide inputs for mid-course correction for overall RCC programme management  Provide support in preparation of donor reports of various immunization activities as per the donor on requirement

Lead the support to the planning, design and roll out of the cVDPV2 campaign around the polio outbreak and the post campaign preparation for OBR campaign Monthly report From, July, August, September, October, November, December 20 and January 2022.

Oversee risk communication and community engagement planning for nOPV2 introduction in the country

Monitor and provide technical support in execution of communication and social mobilization activities for routine immunization in the country

Conduct at least 4 monitoring visits to field locations (sate/county Provide technical guidance to C4D officers and states for execution of polio Eradication SIA campaigns, mOPV-2, nOPV-2 introduction campaign for enhancing community engagement activities in the field in close coordination with MOH and partners at national and state level

Provide coordination between states, national (Juba) and regional (ESARO) level teams on SOPS around polio outbreak campaigns Participate in National EPI TWG meeting and update the TWG about the social mobilization and communication activities undertaken for Polio SIAs other Immunization campaigns and enhancement of Routine immunization in the country. Oversee designing, planning & distribution of communication material at national and state level for Polio SIAs, and Routine Immunization

Technical support in planning for Measles vaccination planning for 2022 in the country

Provide technical support in developing of new IEC material and other communication aids for Polio campaigns, nOPV-2 campaign, and routine immunization Design training modules for communication and social mobilization training for nOPV2 introduction in the country
