How can you make a difference?

The UNICEF programme of cooperation 2021-2025 in Tunisia is aligned with the UNSDCF of Tunisia, and it is based on the life course approach. It focuses on achieving changes around 4 key priorities for child rights towards achieving SDGs and ensuring: i) Inclusive socio-economic development for children; ii) accountable institutions and access to justice for children; iii) effective education, health and child protection systems; and iv) sustainable management of water, sanitation, hygiene, environment and disasters risks and other crises. Considering that child poverty was estimated to increase from 19% to between 25% and 29% by the end of 2020, and considering that children have already been out of school for over 6 months in 2020, efforts need to be doubled to mitigate the anticipated negative impacts of COVID-19 on children and to help prevent a drastic drop in Tunisia’s progress towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals.
