You have:
- Advanced university degree in journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications, or an undergraduate degree plus at least 10 years of demonstrated professional experience.
- 15 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in external communication and in the production of professional design work and reports in line with UNICEF HQ standards.
- Knowledge and experience in working on outputs related to emergencies in general.
- Experience working for UNICEF.
- Experience in producing Child Alerts for UNICEF.

Purpose of Activity/Assignment:
A graphic designer is required to design reports and all sort of publications on themes which are part of UNICEF DRC’s commitments and strategies. The graphic designer will work with the Communication team as well as with other programme Sections. The consultant will work with writers as well as chiefs of programmes and senior management in order to prepare design outputs. He/she will report to the Chief of Communication and work closely with UNICEF programme colleagues.
Scope of Work:
- Produce high-level photo communication assets advocating for child rights in the DRC – the outputs will be used in printed and online reports;
- Produce graphics and all sort of design outputs for UNICEF DRC social media platforms;
- Prepare presentations on issues affecting the children of DRC.

Minimum Qualifications required: Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:
• Advanced university degree in the field of journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications, or an undergraduate degree plus at least 10 years of demonstrated professional experience in of journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications;
• 15 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in external communication, and in the production of professional design work and reports, in line with the standards defined by UNICEF HQ;
• Knowledge and experience in working on outputs related to emergencies in general;
• Experience working for UNICEF.
• Experience in working for UNICEF and in the production of Child Alerts.
