Purpose of Activity/Assignment:

A graphic designer is required to design reports and communication assets on themes which are part of UNICEF DRC’s commitments and strategies. The graphic designer will work with the Communication team as well as with other programme Sections. The consultant will work with writers as well as chiefs of programmes and senior management to prepare design outputs. He/she will report to the Chief of Communication.

Scope of Work:

  • Design content used in printed and online reports and other communication outputs.
  • Produce graphics and all sort of design outputs for UNICEF DRC social media platforms.
  • Prepare presentations on issues affecting the children of DRC.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An advanced university degree in the field of journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications, or an undergraduate degree plus at least 10 years of demonstrated professional experience in of journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications.
  • 15 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in external communication, and in the production of professional design work and reports, in line with the standards defined by UNICEF HQ.
  • Knowledge and experience in working on outputs related to emergencies in general.
  • Experience working for UNICEF.
  • Experience in working for UNICEF and in the production of Child Alerts.

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
