How can you make a difference?

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

  • Support the government partners (Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action - MGCAS, National Institute of Social Action- INAS) on implementation of shock-responsive social protection (SRSP) in geographical locations jointly prioritized with the government and other partners.
  • Support the government for strengthening shock-responsiveness of the national social protection system, working closely with other partners (UN, WB and donors)
  • Support prioritization of the most vulnerable (children, pregnant and lactating women, persons with disabilities) in SRSP
  • Support enhancement of beneficiary communication and case management of SRSP
  • Support documentation of lessons learnt of past experiences in SRSP supported by UNICEF (Kenneth, IDPs, Covid-19)
  • Ensure close coordination and communication with UNICEF staff in the field working on SRSP operationalization
  • Support preparation of timely submission of request and reports by partners

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required. Experience working in social protection in Mozambique is considered as a strong asset.

    Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
