You have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in media and communications, journalism, and/or public relations.
- Proficient in writing and copy-editing communications and media materials, photography, basic video skills, and design work.
- Must be a South Sudanese National.
- Proven multi-partner management skills, especially at a strategic level with senior officials in fragile contexts.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- Evidence of high level written and spoken English language abilities.
- Understanding of humanitarian relief, recovery, and development work in fragile contexts.
- Excellent networking, relationship building, and people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage to plan, and meet deadlines.

Internal engagement and staff communications management
- Work with P&C and other functional teams in developing internal engagement and communications plan, and organizational calendar
- Work with the Advocacy and Communications Senior Manager in preparing and publishing internal communications newsletters and other adhoc communications
- Track and measure internal communications performance based on agreed metrics
Impact communications
- Support Program Quality and Assurance Team, as well as Operations, in ensuring stories of impact (Our Impact, Our Story) are documented within quality standards and communicated in timely manner
Write, review and edit case studies, stories of impact, capacity statements, donor reports, and annual report
Work with Media Engagement and Brand Communications Officer in ensuring all WV materials adhere to WV protocols and practices for protection of children and other vulnerable groups
Content creation
- Feed into the content planning process, identifying and sourcing potential news & transformational stories
- Support teams in planning and developing communications plans and content
- Regularly visit project areas in coordination with project managers and the field teams to document and produce compelling stories that can be used in a variety of ways for different audiences
- Develop, write, and produce content specifically for media, social media channels, and Partnership sites that highlight World Vision’s work, milestones, and community and child voices
Risk reputation management
- Support the Advocacy and Communications Senior Manager in monitoring and assessing risks when issues arise, as well as in coordinating with relevant teams
- Proactively support the preparation of reactive media statements and the key messaging, and making these available in approved communications channels
Communications skills training
- Conduct communication skills training with key zonal staff on media spokesperson and branding, as well as photography, writing, and storytelling
- Work with these trained staff to ensure a more balanced sharing of stories and updates from the four zones.
- Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass communications and any other relevant discipline.
Proficient in writing and copy-editing communications and media materials, photography, basic video skills, and design work;
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in media and communications, journalism, and /or public relations in a multi-cultural, child-focused, non-profit/corporate, and/or humanitarian organization.
INGO experience is highly desirable, knowledge of local culture & language is preferred though not mandatory.
Advance Computer literature, able to use video software with strong Ms Office package skills.
Must be a South Sudanese National.
Proven multi-partner management skills, especially to engage at a strategic level with senior government, UN and INGO officials especially in a fragile context or emergency setting.
Evidence of high level written and spoken English language abilities.
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
Understanding of humanitarian relief, recovery and development work i.e. triple nexus in fragile contexts.

Excellent spokesperson skills.
Solid research, reporting, policy analysis and writing skills.
Strong journalistic skills, ability to facilitate the collection of photo, video, story and social media resources.

Prior experience with World Vision is a distinct advantage.
