You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or auditing
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an auditing / accounting function is desired
  • Candidates who have started pursuing professional accounting studies will be preferred

Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Based in each of our Field Offices, the holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the office internal control plan at the field level. This role will be reporting to Internal Control Officer. The National UN Volunteer will be charged with the responsibility of undertaking field mission to conduct on spot verification to field sites and partners supported by UNICEF and advise the office on key risks identified.

• Conduct periodic internal control reviews of key processes at the field level. • Conduct field level verifications to project sites and partners funded by UNICEF to identify any key risks. • Follow up on implementation of recommendations from verification, reviews or audit reports. • Facilitate trainings to staff, partners and vendors on internal controls and anti-fraud awareness. • Coordinate with respective programme officers to ensure that recommendations from assurance activities are implemented on time.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or auditing

As this is a national UNV assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. UNV Field Unit will help you open a Pak rupee bank account with Standard Chartered Bank or any other local bank at your duty station.

Assignment remarks: This is a national UNV assignment and a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of PKR 98,160 is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents), as well as final repatriation (if applicable) and resettlement allowance for satisfactory service.
