ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking candidates with Information Technology profiles, willing to join our organization on internship base. Positions will be either based in Antananarivo or in one of our sub-offices in regions in Madagascar. The Internship will be for 1 to 8 months period.

JOB PURPOSE

The intern is expected to carry out a range of Information Technology related processes and activities requiring some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices.

The purpose of these positions is to support the effective delivery of Information Technology support services to assist the IT equipment’s users facilitate efficient utilization of resources.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a graduate programme from a university and have completed at least 2 years of studies, preferably in Information Technology, hardware and software management or related fields.
• Must have attended courses in the last 12 months
• Basic Experience in database design and architecture
• Recently graduated from a graduate programme (within 12 months) prior to his application to this internship
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);
• Fluent in French both oral and written. English is an asset

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

The intern will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Assist Assessing the status of the CO data integration initiative and implement activities in the data integration initiative.

2. Assist in assessing the corporate initiatives (Tableau) and opportunities for incorporation to the CO’s data integration and visualization.

3. Assist in designing solutions for the CO data integration and visualization initiatives through platforms than can easily behanded over to CO staff fulfilling the CO progress tracking and decision-making needs at various levels.

4. Assist in managing spares and in tracking IT equipment of the Office.

5. Assist in the installation, configuration and customization of IT systems ensuring compliance with WFP’s IT standards, guidelines and procedures.

6. Assist in Resolving users’ queries, escalating if required, to ensure that standard IT questions are answered, and accurate information is provided.

7. Assist in beneficiary cards printing and re-printing, stocking, shipping to the respective field offices, tracking and collecting unused cards for disposal.

8. Any other duties as required.

Nous recherchons actuellement des candidats avec un profil Informaticien, désireux de rejoindre notre organisation en tant que stagiaires. Les postes seront soit basés à Antananarivo, soit dans l'un de nos sous-bureaux dans les régions de Madagascar. Le stage sera d'une durée de 1 à 8 mois.

OBJECTIF DU POSTE

Le stagiaire assurera l’accomplissement d'une gamme d'activités liés aux activités de support aux utilisateurs nécessitant une certaine interprétation des directives/pratiques standards.

Le but de ces postes est de soutenir efficacement les services Informatiques afin de faciliter une utilisation transparente et efficace des ressources.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMALES STANDARD

• Actuellement inscrit dans un programme d'études supérieures d'une université et avoir complété au moins 2 années d'études, de préférence en Informatique de gestion, génie logiciel, maintenance des systèmes informatiques ou dans des domaines connexes.
• Doit avoir suivi des cours ou études au cours des 12 derniers mois
• Récemment diplômé d'un programme d'études supérieures (dans les 12 mois) au moment de sa candidature à ce programme de stage
• Connaissances basique de la structure générale des bases de données
• Maîtrise de MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, acces);
• Maitrise d’un langage de programmation orienté objet est un atout.
• Maîtrise du français tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit. L'anglais est un atout

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS (non exhaustifs)

Le stagiaire sera responsable des tâches suivantes :

1. Aider à évaluer l'état de l'initiative d'intégration des données du CO et à mettre en œuvre les activités de l'initiative d'intégration des données.

2. Aider à évaluer les initiatives de l'entreprise (Tableau) et les opportunités d'intégration à l'intégration et à la visualisation des données du CO.

3. Aider à concevoir des solutions pour les initiatives d'intégration et de visualisation des données du CO via des plates-formes qui peuvent facilement être transmises au personnel du CO répondant aux besoins de suivi des progrès et de prise de décision du CO à différents niveaux.

4. Aider à l'installation, à la configuration et à la personnalisation des systèmes informatiques en veillant au respect des normes, directives et procédures informatiques du PAM.

5. Aider à résoudre les requêtes des utilisateurs, en les faisant remonter si nécessaire, pour s'assurer que les questions informatiques standard reçoivent une réponse et que des informations précises sont fournies.

6. Aider à gérer le stockage et la traçabilité des matérielles et équipements informatiques du bureau

7. Aider le bureau à imprimer / re-imprimer les cartes, les stocker, les envoyer vers les Bureaux de terrain respectifs, collecter les cartes non utilisés afin de les détruire.ou archiver

8. Toute autre tâche au besoin.
