  • be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme
  • good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

The intern will support the team by evaluating the design, development, implementation, piloting and rollout of an AI agent for post learning, bridging the gap between theory and practice. The intern will be: • Conducting user research, assisting workshop design, drafting a research paper, and recommending improvements. Tasks will include: • Organising the UN DESA workshop with public officers in target nation. • Developing data collection instruments, such as surveys and interview protocols, aligned with pedagogical outcomes of Yoda AI. • Leading interviews and/or focus groups with users to assess Yoda AI’s effectiveness in addressing learning needs, barriers to adoption, and real-world implementation challenges. • Presenting evaluation findings and recommendations to UN DESA staff, country representatives, and external partners as needed. • Working with UN DESA experts and consultants on throughout design, development, testing and deployment of the AI Agent. • drafting a research paper on the evaluation findings and implications for AI-enabled, sustainable learning in the public sector.

Qualifications/special skills

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
