Overview

Assist in political affairs by conducting research and supporting documentation preparation for meetings.

Work Location

This position is located in HQ New York. The hybrid or remote setting of the internship may be flexible based on the request by the successful candidate.

Expected duration

The expected duration of assignment is 3 - 6 months. The desired start date is 1 April 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background; the nature of specific projects, and the internship duration. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Assist in drafting and preparing official documents and correspondence - background papers, talking points, briefing materials, speeches; • Attend and take notes during trainings, conferences and meetings; • Assist with preparations and logistics for trainings, conferences and meetings; • Assist with inter-active presentations; • Conduct research; • Conduct media analysis; • Research and compile statistics on various topics; TOR: 24-Department of Political Affairs and Peace-building-227248-Intern Page 2 of 4 • Assist with EAD institutional memory database; • Gather, analyse and update country specific information; • Perform other related duties as required.
