Overview

Support OHCHR Strategic Planning and Programme Management initiatives.

You have:

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a second university degree or higher; or be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree.
  • Field of study closely related to the internship such as Behavioural Science, Social and Behaviour Change, Psychology and/or Human Rights issues.
  • Excellent drafting ability in English is required.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required, additional language competencies, especially French and/or Spanish, are highly desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Organizational Development Intern will undertake a variety of tasks to support OHCHR Strategic Planning, Programme Management, Evaluation and Change Service (SPECS) Functions, in particular concerning organizational transformation. Under the direction and supervision of the Senior Programme Management Officer, the intern shall undertake the following tasks: - Researches, compiles and organizes information and reference materials from various sources, specifically research related to the role of Behavioural Science in Programme impact achievement. - Supports the development of communication materials, such as reports, presentations, and concept notes, infographics and videos concerning relevant initiatives. - Provides support with secretarial, administrative and logistics support to meetings, boards, committees, conferences, etc. - Other tasks as directed by the Senior Programme Management Officer.

Qualifications/special skills

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a second university degree, equivalent, or higher; (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent). Applicants are not required to have previous work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is an advantage. Studies related to Behevioural Science, Social and Behaviour Change, Psychology and / or Human Rights issues. Excellent drafting ability in English. Please describe how you meet this criterion.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Additional language competencies, especially French and/or Spanish, highly desirable.
