Team introduction

The Media, Communities and Events team at the World Economic Forum’s Beijing Representative Office plays a central role in convening stakeholders and nurturing communities that advance the Forum’s mission in Greater China.

We are seeking an intern who is intellectually curious, adaptable, and comfortable operating in evolving spaces. The role is intentionally broad and may evolve over time, offering exposure to serve as the primary interface for Forum stakeholders throughout their event experience, providing direct support, simplified access, and greater visibility into engagement opportunities.

By collaborating closely with key internal stakeholders, we empower both participants and colleagues through streamlined engagement pathways, enhanced experiences, and optimized processes.

Main responsibilities

• Contribute to a strategic project aimed at enhancing participant experience for China-based meetings by systematically collecting, synthesizing and deriving insights from participant feedback across the end-to-end event journey.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. Engagement, Programming, Communications, Digital & Technology) to identify key experience gaps and co-create scalable solutions, particularly following the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) in June.

• Support the translation of insights into actionable initiatives, and help drive alignment, prioritization and implementation through effective stakeholder engagement and coordination.

• Contribute to shaping the design and application of digital tools to enhance participant engagement, streamline internal processes, and enable data-informed decision-making.

• Support the continuous improvement and localization of digital platforms and electronic tools for China-based meetings, with a focus on usability, adoption and impact.

• Engage with participants and internal stakeholders to gather qualitative insights and feedback, ensuring participant-centric thinking is embedded across workflows and decision-making.

• Provide support to key participant-related processes (e.g. invitation, registration, communications, visa-related coordination) while identifying opportunities for process optimization and experience enhancement.
