Overview

You have:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) or be enrolled in or have completed the final year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Fluency or knowledge of French is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams is required.
  • Ability to draft newsletters, design flyers, posters, brochures is desirable.
  • Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable.

This internship is for a period of three months, from 3 March to 30 May 2025, can be extended to 6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

The internship is located in the Management and Communication Unit (M&C), Centre for Learning and Multilingualism (CLM), Human Resources Management Service in United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG). M&C contributes to improved team effectiveness and productivity and thus promote a harmonious working environment at the United Nations by providing courses in French and English in the areas of leadership and management development, performance management as well as technical and substantive programmes. The incumbent is under the supervision of the Chief of the Management and Communication Unit and the direct oversight of the Training Manager responsible for the Career Development program at the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism (CLM) • Create and publish marketing materials for CLM courses and activities, specifically a monthly newsletter and others. • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of training and learning programs covering areas such as career development, diversity equity and inclusion, management and leadership, and so on. • Aid in developing and updating induction guides, checklists, learning materials, video recordings and transcriptions, resources for online & in-person activities. • Collaborate with the IT team to update and redesign the CLM official website. • Collaborate closely on gathering feedback, crafting surveys, and analyzing responses to improve program efficacy. • Support individuals enrolled in online and offline courses and workshops by engaging as a panelist in webinars, overseeing logistics, maintaining regular communication, updating learning platforms with relevant materials, and providing assistance as needed throughout the learning journey. • Provide logistical assistance to CLM programme managers in the day-to-day operations of implementing various learning activities both online and in-person.

Qualifications/special skills

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in English is required. Fluency or knowledge of French is desirable.
