Field(s) of activity for the internship
Topic of the internship: Digital transformation of processes in Galileo Ground Segment and Galileo Quality Management System
This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in agile task management and information exchange within a dynamic, multi-faceted system. You will focus on adapting JIRA, a robust task management tool, to optimise task management, enhance team collaboration, and streamline communication across various projects and teams. A key aspect of the role involves leveraging advanced scheduling and resource management functionalities through tools such as BigPicture.
Activities
Your job will involve the analysis of existing processes in the Ground Segment, Galileo Quality Management System and possibly beyond to other segments with users to identify needs, streamlining them, and putting them in the context of other processes, linking them as necessary. You will design a project based on JIRA, and possibly other tools used (Teams, Microsoft Office 365) that meets those needs. This will involve developing workflows to monitor key project stages, from design, issue tracking, deployment, testing, and validation. Additionally, you will set up automated reporting mechanisms to give stakeholders real-time updates on project progress and identify potential task or scheduling conflicts.
This internship provides hands-on experience in optimizing an essential tool for real-world applications. You will gain valuable skills in JIRA customization, project management methodologies, and effective communication strategies. Moreover, this role will help you develop problem-solving and analytical abilities as you navigate the challenges of managing a multi-project, multi-team environment. This position is ideal for candidates looking to apply theoretical knowledge to practical, agile development environments and information systems.
