This position is based at the ESA HQ - Paris, France
The Language Services and Minute-Writing Division is responsible for:
- providing Agency-wide translation and editing services (English, French and German) in support of ESA’s official meetings;
- providing translation and editing services for correspondence, speeches, presentations and other material (including e-material) submitted (English, French and German as well as other languages on an ad-hoc basis);
- determining translation priorities in collaboration with the services involved;
- providing minute-writing of official meetings;
- managing, as business owner, digital tools in support of language services (e.g. the Agency's multilingual terminology database, ESA Termbase, computer- assisted translation tools, neural machine translation);
- organising interpretation services (English, French and German as well as other languages on an ad-hoc basis).

Areas of focus 1:
Support the work of the English Translation, Editing and Support Section in carrying out terminological research and extracting terminology from Agency documents and other reliable sources in French, English and German, the three languages from and into which documents are generally translated at ESA.
Areas of focus 2:
Support the work of the English Translation, Editing and Support Section in maintaining and drafting terminology records for the ESA Termbase, the Agency’s multilingual terminology database covering most areas of ESA activity with entries principally in French, English and German.

Education
