Join the Healthy Living team as an intern to support public health initiatives.
You have:
- Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in nutrition science, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or localization/translation with an interest in non-profit and health care communications.
- Knowledge in the field of public health and health literacy.
- Demonstrated skills in research such as market research, environmental scans, etc. With the ability to apply market research when creating consumer content.
- Demonstrated skills in written communications, including ability to translate dense content into easy to read and understand versions and formats for various audience such as consumers or executive leadership.
- Undergraduate course work in health promotion, nutrition, public health, content marketing, general marketing, and/or communications.
- Fluent in Spanish a plus but not required.
- Effective oral (one-on-one and group; virtual meetings; phone), written (consumer-facing educational resources, email) and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate professionally in a corporate and non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects from inception through completion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
- Must be familiar with software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva.
- Required Equipment: Reliable Wi-Fi connection.
- Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 9am-5pm.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.
