  • Graduation or Post graduation in Ecology, Life sciences, Geography, Urban/ Environmental/ Development Studies, Public Policy or allied fields.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in the relevant field project implementation and community engagement experience.
  • Strong research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a requirement.
  • Good working knowledge of other creative and analytics software (Abode, GIS, Python, R etc) is recommended.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to think creatively and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work calmly and enthusiastically under pressure.

Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport

WRI India is seeking an intern for the Sustainable Cities and Transport Program to support our work on decarbonizing freight. The objective of the project is to develop a zero-emission vehicle transition plan for The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (SUPPLYCO).​ The outcome of this work is to develop a transition framework for government owned/controlled fleets.

How your day will unfold:

• Manage on-site implementation and vendor co-ordination for ongoing and upcoming pilot projects. • Engage with city agencies and non-government stakeholders – scheduling and attending meetings. • Undertake preparatory work for convenings and events. • Preparation of technical notes, site reports and presentations. • Develop media content and support external communications/outreach for program activities. • Support community engagement by participating in workshops and campaigns to build awareness.

Skills and requirements that we seek:

Stipend: 25000 Per Month Location: Bangalore Duration: 3 months
