Duties and Responsibilities
This internship is located within the Development and Economic and Social Issues Branch (DESIB), Thematic Engagement, Special Procedures and Right to Development Division (TESPRDD) of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) working with The Rights of Older Persons Section. The Intern reports to a Senior Human Rights Officer. The Intern will support the team in all its drafting of reports, preparation of newsletters, social media content, establishing Partnerships, and undertaking advocacy. Tasks may include but are not limited to: - Conduct research and analysis on assigned topics - Prepare for and service meetings, seminars and workshops: compile background materials, draft presentations, meetings notes and summaries, research and invite speakers and participants. - Support the conceptualization and writing of projects and initiatives - Draft funding proposals - Support the design and organisation of various capacity building training and workshops - Drafting human rights briefs, infographics, and other written materials.
