The Housing Coordinator will support the Intensive Case Management and R&P team by providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate, and trauma informed low-income housing case management services for program participants, according to the grant guidelines. This position will have a focus on expanding and supporting the Intensive Case Management Housing programing (i.e., low-income housing, community partners, resource gathering, volunteer coordinator) and will provide administrative support to the R&P Housing team. The staff member will have a working knowledge of all low-income housing direct service programs and refer clients and support teammates as appropriate within the scope of housing services.

Major Responsibilities:

- Support, as appropriate, direct service providers to guide/assist clients in establishing and receiving low-income housing support services in the community, based off the ICM individual service plan. - Ensure all services are linguistically appropriate and help advocate for mainstream housing and low-income housing service providers to assist in providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. - Develop/support volunteer ICM housing team to support housing application preparation, physical home moves, and client home education. - Conduct outreach to external and internal housing partners and keep track of referrals to community partners for follow-up. - Work with Economic Development team to keep track of monthly client rental assistance and ICM housing direct assistance funds. - In cooperation with IRC staff members, identify high needs families and begin building housing strategies and low-income applications. - Provide feedback and suggestions to improve client services, both for ICM and R&P housing. - Develop thorough tracking tools, keep Box files up to date, and train necessary staff on their usage. - Develop thorough tracking tools, keep Box files up-to-date, and train necessary staff of Tool/Box usage in relation to housing tasks. - Offer informal support and leadership to colleagues. - Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities, and fully engage as a member of the team.

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Intensive Case Management Program Supervisor. The Intensive Case Management Housing Coordinator will be responsible for developing relationships within the IRC Intensive Case Management network and external relations with housing service agencies, resettlement agencies, and government entities to expand the role of IRC ICM housing programs.

Job Requirements:

- 2+ years of case management experience in a social services environment. - Undergraduate degree in Human Services, Social Work, or similar field strongly preferred; comparable related work experience may be substituted. - Fluency in written and spoken English; bilingual ability in a prominent client language preferred. - Comprehensive knowledge of local community services - Demonstrated ability to work independently. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Experience working in a multicultural environment. - Ability to manage time effectively. - Some supervisory/staff oversight experience preferred. - Good computer skills, including Microsoft office and use of databases. - Ability to prepare accurate and timely reports. - Ability to document client interactions and services provided and maintain updated and accurate case files. - Ability and willingness to drive 15 passenger van. - Must have a valid driver’s license, active insurance policy and access to reliable personal transportation.
