Major Responsibilities:

1. Cultural Orientation:

- Collaborate with internal and external resources to conduct cultural orientation programs for refugees and humanitarian migrants. - Ensure that cultural orientation sessions are informative, engaging, and tailored to meet the unique needs of diverse refugee and humanitarian migrant populations. - Monitor the effectiveness of cultural orientation initiatives and make necessary improvements based on feedback and assessments.

2. Case Management Supervision:

- Supervise a team of case managers responsible for providing essential services to refugees and humanitarian migrants. - Ensure that case management services are delivered in a client-centered, trauma-informed, and efficient manner. - Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to case management staff, fostering professional growth and excellence.

3. Community Engagement and Building Relationships:

- Act as a liaison between IRC Seattle and local migrant communities to assess community integration needs and develop strategies to address those needs. - Establish and nurture strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and partners to enhance support for migrants. - Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify and address the unique challenges faced by new arrivals and work together to find solutions. - Representing the IRC in cultural orientation and integration forums, building relationships with key stakeholders in the community. - Developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage with refugee and immigrant communities, including creating and disseminating relevant information and resources.

*Internal*****: Resettlement Manager, Casework Supervisor, Employment Team; Operations Team; Finance Team; other IRC Washington Program Teams

*External*****: migrant and refugee communities, other refugee services and resettlement agencies in WA.

Job Requirements:

- Relevant degree or equivalent experience - Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant is highly preferred. - Minimum 2 years of experience working in refugee resettlement with demonstrated understanding of reception and placement or preferred communities, or refugee integration services. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, comfort learning and working with other technical systems - Effective time management skills and ability to focus and work productively in a fast-paced environment - Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a multi-cultural environment - Valid driver’s license - Committed to anti-racism and continual learning and growth. - Access to reliable transportation and required insurance to travel throughout the service delivery area

Working Environment:

Standard, professional office environment; hybrid remote, office, and field work
