The purpose of the IP officer position is to support the work of NRC by conducting holistic assessments and referring cases, as well as gathering data to create a comprehensive overview that enhances more effective and integrated programming and advocacy. The IP officer plans and prioritizes teamwork within the IP Team in their area, coordinating the assessment workload of the Assistants in accordance with the Core Competency Coordinator. She/he conducts assessments, receives technical guidance from the Technical Coordinator, and offers guidance and assistance to the Assistants.
She/he is the point of contact for assessments in the area.

Responsibilities
Generic responsibilities :
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
- Manage the workload of assessment across all Core Competencies, conduct assessment, and manage the overall assessment processes, including data management, at the Area Office level.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
- Support implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards across your area of work
Specific responsibilities :
- Planning and prioritizing the work of the CC and IP assistants assigned to conduct assessments in agreement with their line manager.
- Act as technical manager of dedicated caseworkers.
- Conducting inductions and training for newly joined related staff and making sure they are fully onboard.
- Assigning tasks to CC Assistants and IP assistants, monitoring the completion of tasks and the quality of tasks, ensuring that data are recorded according to the procedures and cases are handled based on the defined processes
- Conducting assessments, and interviews with vulnerable households under monthly bases particularly more complex or sensitive ones
- Conduct quality checks on data available, regularly revise and referral to different Core Competencies
- Follow up with Core Competencies Coordinators as needed for the assessed cases and request technical support from the technical Coordinator for the management of more complex cases
- Identifying opportunities to improve operations or programming based on insights from assessments and providing input for continuous improvement of technical issues to assistants
- Working as the contact point for IP operational issues in the area
- Conducting holistic assessments and referring cases to support more effective and integrated programming and advocacy.
- Maintain a good understanding of NRC programming in the area
- Act as the focal point for all external entities (Local partners, BAFIAs, INGOs, UN agencies).
- Coordinating the missions for assessment.
- Providing regular reports to NOMs, as well as all other area-based reports.
- Act as the IP focal point with the Government liaison unit.
- Provision of reports for senior management per request.
