Instagram design for International Volunteer Day 2020

Online Volunteer will become part of the Communications process that will be taking place on the eve of International Volunteers Day (December, 5th) and during related celebrations. The candidate will design communications cards for this event coverage, all in all, 15 designs in Instagram square format. Text, templates and guidance will be provided.

  The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Programme is the UN organization that promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide by advocating for volunteerism, encouraging partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing volunteers. The UNV Regional Office for Europe and CIS provides oversight and strategic guidance to the UNV Field Units in the region and is accountable for the placement of UN Volunteers mobilized for UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes focused on peace, development, and humanitarian needs. In December 2020, the region will conduct International Volunteer Day (IVD) mandated by the UN General Assembly. It is held each year on 5 December to promote volunteering activities, acknowledge the added value of volunteers, and benefit in order to increase participation in volunteering programs. Elaboration of the preparatory event materials, as well as coverage of the event that will consist of different virtual activities, is critically important to raise the visibility of opportunities that volunteerism brings to potential candidates, especially on Instagram where mostly young audience is present.

• Volunteers: 1 needed

• 1-5 hours per week / 3 weeks

  The Online Volunteer needs to be fully capable to use Instagram and editing software such as Canva, Premier Pro, Photoshop or similar and to write in literature and correct English language. The Online Volunteer must consider him/her self guru of Instagram promotion and shall share the evidence.
