The annual salary range for this role is $80,000-$85,000 in New York.

Why we are Recruiting

The Centre for Financial and Monetary System (FMS) in collaboration with UpLink, is building an innovation ecosystem to address issues related to the Longevity Economy through the lens of innovative solutions and early stage start-ups.

FMS is comprised of leading global and regional institutions from the financial services and investing industries, among other critical stakeholders. It engages this broad set of actors to design and develop a more sustainable, resilient, trusted, and accessible financial system that reinforces long-term value creation and economic growth.

UpLink is the Impact Innovation Platform of the World Economic Forum supporting early-stage start-ups in their growth and scale. These start-ups have impact at the heart of their business models and are addressing the issues related to the people and planet.

These two initiatives of the Forum are looking to hire an Innovation Ecosystem Specialist who will play a critical role in building the ecosystem through the lens of innovation. This is a grant funded role that will conclude December 2026.

Main Responsibilities

Ecosystem Partner Engagement (Account Management)

  • Support the strategy and value proposition articulation to identify and engage key stakeholders from the public and private sector to build a multi-stakeholder community (complementary organisations, other similar platforms, NGOs, accelerators, impact investors, VCs and experts) in support of innovation in in the longevity economy.
  • Facilitate introductions and meaningful collaboration opportunities for respective UpLink start-ups and funds with Ecosystem Partners and Forum Centres, communities, and events.

Innovation Ecosystem Building

  • Support the innovation ecosystem mapping, pipeline building and active outreach as well as formalizing collaborations with the identified stakeholders in the longevity innovation space
  • Develop a pipeline and network of mission-aligned external organizations, with resources to support entrepreneurs either financially or otherwise, committed to supporting the UpLink longevity innovation ecosystem
  • Support the design and programming of key activities by nominating experts, investors, incubators, or organizations while ensuring links to broader Forum events and sessions.

Preferred requirements and experience

  • Ability to collaborate with and coordinate between Forum teams, UpLink team and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, such as international relations/economics
  • 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in financial services and/or community engagement/development, and/or project management
  • Digital community engagement/development a strong plus
  • Passionate connector and networker with demonstrated ability to support cultivation of communities and identify common interests among community members
  • A flexible, agile and adaptable entrepreneur mindset to work in a fast-paced and evolving team
  • Self-starting, independent thinker who thrives as a flexible team player

Vaccination requirement

The Forum LLC requires that employees be fully vaccinated with at least one booster against COVID-19 by their first day of employment. The Forum will evaluate all requests for accommodation/exemption from this policy in keeping with federal, state, and local law.
