The annual salary range for this role is $135,000-$150,000 in New York.

About the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains

The Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains is one of the 10 Centers at the Forum, focused on enabling more resilient, sustainable and inclusive manufacturing ecosystems and supply chains to usher in a new wave of global economic and social prosperity.

Our Center supports sustainable growth by leveraging technology and innovation, getting industry to net-zero, facilitating the development of manufacturing workforces and developing insights into the future of industrial strategies and supply chains.

Reporting Lines and Interactions

The Initiatives Lead will report to the Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Center Head. He/she will connect with other colleagues across other Centers of the World Economic Forum.

The Specialist will also interact with a variety of global stakeholders, including businesses, public sector agencies and leading experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unite global business, academia, and government stakeholders to tackle emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Build trust and understanding among stakeholders, mobilizing the community to drive impactful initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a clear strategy for the scoping, management and scale up of ongoing initiatives addressing the sector’s priorities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead the generation and aggregation of insights and develop specific deliverables to disseminate latest knowledge, findings and lessons learned, and help raise awareness across stakeholders
  • Develop strategies for active stakeholder engagement, manage key activities and events and develop relevant communication material.
  • Identify and engage relevant stakeholders to support partner development efforts.
  • Spot emerging issues, scope new initiatives, and map relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize digital tools (e.g., TopLink) for stakeholder engagement and maintain partner/client databases.
  • Lead the "People-centric transformation" pillar, enhancing the value for our 50+ community members.
  • Create a collaborative space for senior executives, government officials, and academia to empower frontline workers in manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Oversee flagship initiatives like "Frontline Talent of the Future" and the "New Generation Industry Leaders" communities.

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, or Political Science with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to work across cultures and sectors in community management.
  • Strong project management, data analysis, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication with senior leaders and presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Background in or passion for advanced manufacturing, supply chains, and public-private collaboration.
  • Self-starter, flexible, and team-oriented.
  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated abilities to thrive in a fast-paced work setting with strong flexibility, adaptability, and ability to deliver under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in multicultural environments with strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Experience with Office applications; Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
