Org. Setting and Reporting The Information Systems Project Leader reports to the Head, Field Information Management and Technology Office (FIMTO), and closely coordinates work with Senior Deputy Director Operations D1, and receives technical guidance from the Chief, Business Engagement Division-IMTD at Headquarters Amman.

Responsibilities- Provides detailed monitoring and project management services to Gaza Field Office management information system end user projects for an assigned portfolio of projects and coordinates with Headquarters, including the IT Service Centre in Gaza, in delivering projects on time, budget, and specification. - Develops and maintains a detailed project management set milestones and monitors progress against set timelines and resource availability and requirements throughout the project period. - Maintains track of resource allocations to the project (personnel, funding, other) and support management of the same. - Supports liaison between conceptual development of the assigned portfolio of projects and translation of requirements and specifications for development of the design of the new system by internal and external IT resources. - Supports engagement with end users, whether departments, clients or refugees, to support value-added business process improvements that will contribute to enhanced Agency performance and the data transparency to support evidence-based decisions (i.e., in particular using combined data streams to generate more detailed profiles sourced from different systems). - Participates in the periodic updates with users at all levels to ensure identified business processes meet end user specifications (i.e., in particular if the data is needed by more than one department). - Manages the IT service provider deliverables in meeting requirements and targets as per the signed service contract and/or agreed project information description. - Supports communication processes with stakeholders for resource mobilization purposes and testing and implementation of the new system.

Education- University degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, business administration, project management, or a related field.

- The candidate holds a project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, AGILE, or equivalent).

Work Experience At least six years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in the management of complex and resource intensive projects Three years should relate to the development and implementation of large-scale IT system/software application projects. Minimum of two continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number Experience in coordinating teams towards implementation of complex projects Experience in development of modern IT applications, systems platforms and databases Experience in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies Understanding of humanitarian and development contexts including prior programme or project management experience (desirable) Experience in building applications based on Containers, Docker, Orchestration Docker Swarm (desirable) Experience in cloud architecture and implementation features (desirable)

Languages Fluency in written and spoken English.

Knowledge of the Arabic language (desirable)

Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
