Quito is the capital of Ecuador, with an approximate population of one million inhabitants. Located in the Andes Mountain Range, its climate varies slightly between rainy and dry seasons, and it is commonly referred to as the city of "eternal spring." Despite being situated at an altitude of 2,800 meters, its proximity to the Equator means that it never snows in the city. Quito has an international airport and an extensive land transportation network that allows mobility throughout the city. It also offers good medical and dental services.
The country is known for its geographical diversity, ranging from the Galápagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean to the west, across the coastal plains (Coastal Region), the mountains of the Andean highlands (Highland Region), and ending in the Amazon rainforest (Amazon Region).
