Generic responsibilities

These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilitiesshall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.

1. Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines

2. Implement delegated CC project portfolio according to the plan of action

3. Prepare and develop status reports as required bymanagement

4. Ensure proper filing of documents

5. Promote and share ideas for technical improvement

Specific responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of guidance, data flow charts and frameworks for the area office and CO procedures, policies andprocesses that assist in institutionalizing and supporting the use of evidence in the country mission and/or NRC globally
  • Work closely with Core Competency/Thematic focal points and programme to support with collecting, collating, presenting and otherwise managing information for M&E related report.
  • Responsible for the development of a data management system through documentation, implementation and coordination of standardized information flows and day to day management of a database and monitoring systems.
  • Responsible for production of maps (Using ArcGIS) & other infographic products in coordination with programme teams at Area Office including the development of charts and online dashboards (using Power BI) and other info-graphics materials.
  • Update project achievements in NRC Global Output and Outcome Reporting System (GORS) and ensure the quality of data entered on a monthly basis by cross-checkingreports generated with projects supporting documents and the Monthly Indicator Tracker
  • Produce monthly progress reports of the project including an accurate comparison of targets versus achievement Develop training modules and provide specific technical learning or/and training for programme staff at theAO level.
  • Innovate and promote the uptake of appropriate technologies that enable NRC to deliver its programme better e.g. cash and voucher-based interventions. This will include systematically piloting and/or adapting evidence-based best practices; as well as a review of workflows/business processes to enhance efficiency (e.g. eliminating cumbersome or multiple transactions) and strengthening accountability (e.g. securing supporting documentation).
  • Engage with the CO to resolve challenges with datasets creation, indicators reporting, beneficiaries counting and other issues related toGORS and other global platforms.
  • Ensure the Area Monthly Indicator Tracker is updated on time, based on the supporting documents and mean of verification provided.
  • Maintain proper filing system and storage of project documents on NRC share point and ensure the security of all documents whereby only relevant staff have access to needed information.
  • Responsible for data analysis and compilation of quarterly, annual and ad hoc program data andreports.
  • Maintain and update the Area and the Countiry programme M&E database, ensuring correct and swift data entry and processing.
  • Support in the development of M&Etools as required.
  • Research and retrieve data from internal and external sources; prepare the statistical charts, tables and reports as required.
  • Prepare information as requested byM&E team and program staff and create dashboards for easy data presentation while ensuring consistency in response.
  • Maintain up to date beneficiaries databaseIn collaboration with core competency focal points andM&E team.

• Programme Coordinators/Officers/Assistants.

• M&E staff at the Area Office & CO.

Scale and scope of position

Staff: Numbers and titles of staff directly managed by the post holder, and numbers of staff and daily workers/incentive staff responsible for overall in the unit (e.g. X education assistants, XX staff in total) Stakeholders: Key external stakeholders the post has relationships with (e.g. UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs, civil society, governmental bodies) Budgets: List of budgets covered by post holder, and size of budget Information: The position holder will be supporting in managing allarea office project documents that include, project proposals, budgets, agreements, beneficiaries lists and contact information. Most of this information is confidentialand access to this information is granted to relevant NRC staff. Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Good command of ArcGIS software and other data visualization software.
  • Data collection and analytical skills. Practical experience in dealing with electronic data collection.
  • Very good command of Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in information management.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in IT and or any other statistical field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience with the communities and INGOs.
  • Experience in working in data management.
  • Proven experience in producing technical reports and progress reports.
  • Proven experience in archiving project document and results
  • Experience in monitoring activities and in producing infographics is vital.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills.
